BC Court Judge Deliberates the Meaning of Obscenity
Hello there.
This is a very long and quite wordy, but very clearly written court judgement statement written by a judge in British Columbia who has just acquitted the maker and distributor of eleven graphic (sexually and physical bdsm violence) bdsm videos of making and distributing obscenity.
It will take you a while to read. But it is logical, it is brilliant, it is informative and it is worth your while.
Personally this is great to me. Not so much for what it says about pornography, but rather about how people who engage in bdsm are now seen and will be judged by society and law.
I know from my sexaddict survey that many of you don't know what bdsm stands for. It stands for several couplings of words describing minority sexual fantasies and practice, which as this court statement points out, are enjoyed by at least ten percent of the Canadian, if not world, population. Bdsm stands for "bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism". People may be into tiny parts of any one of these things, or any combination of slight or extreme variations of all of it.

There is much to think about concerning how the internet has changed our world, as well as the recognition that even "perverts" can be intelligent, reasoning, caring adults who have good judgment.
