Cyndi Plays Hide and Seek after Vacuuming
Goddamn. I should never clean up.
I took my new Cyndi Lauper cd with me for them to play at the coffeeshop while I worked this evening, and then put it in my coat pocket to bring it home. At home, I took it out of the pocket since I was going to walk the dog right away.
This would indicate I put it on the top of some easily accessible horizontal surface not too far from the door.
After walking the dog, I vacuumed the floor, and straightened up a bit. Can I find the new Cyndi Lauper cd now? No of course not. I probably put it away, or stacked a paper on it, or SOMETHING... dammit.
I WANTED to hear it NOW!! I had to eat ALL my nachos and read entries without it in the background. grumble grumble. Now I probably won't find it til a pile of something slides onto the floor in six weeks.
That'll teach me to vacuum and straighten up!
12:25 amHaha! I thought and thought, and then remembered rushing to the bathroom trying not to pee my pants even before taking off my boots, when I got in from the coffeeshop. Yup... there was Cyndi, waiting patiently on the bathmat hanging on the side of the tub! YAY! So I'm listening to her now...Did you know that the cord on headphones made for walkmans are REALLY short, and so you have to sit REALLY close the stereo to listen with them! hehe... THAT's why I am not working right now!
Hehe, this afternoon I actually called a client in New York and told her that I hadnt finished her sketches cuz I went to see Cyndi Lauper last night instead. She just laughed and said "no rush"! :)
I dont feel so bad, since this is the contract they hired me for in Nov 2001, had me sign the contract, paid me 50% (imagine!) and then just sent me the text this year in January! Now, she couldve seen Cyndi Lauper like ten times during that time, not to mention Tina Turner, David Bowie and 50Cent...unhuh. tah for now!
