Paypal is a Pal, and Esp so are they who Use it.
oo ooo! My paypal is finally paying off! Up til a week ago the only comics site paypal I had gotten was a $3.50 donation from a friend of mine in town here. :) At least it was encouragement!!
But in the last week TWO yes TWO people have used the paypal buttons to buy FOUR books, yes FOUR!!! and just now some wonderful soul has just given $20 US to the "donate" button! oooo! That is so wonderful... it pays for the SmallPress SwapMeet year's online membership I just payed for last night. Oh it is great not to be ever going into the hole.
We'll try to forget about the postdated checks I just sent to the govt for my outstanding tax payment ok?? eep!! I will have to do some $ transfering tomorrow, cuz for the first time ever my credit margin will not cover. Dang. But on Dec 15th it will be PAID OFF!! YAY!
Now if some of the work I'm doing will just um, result in a check in the mail. That would be so super cool. I'm meeting up with the Leo's Dog people on Tuesday afternoon. That's cool. I should be done the sketches by then, and hopefully they will be THRILLED!!!
Busy before then. I have my watercolor class tomorrow (thank god I finished my work in class, so don't have to do it now)... I was just asked to be part of a radio panel on "alternative comics" (whatever the heck that is) on Friday afternoon for an hour. Friday night is my friend's show at which I have a comics table. Sunday is the Expozine thingie, where I will also have a table from 11am to 6pm.
Lots to do. I am making a couple of the online stories into minicomics to sell... yesterday drawing a cover, and today reducing the originals, and pasting them up in photocopy-ready form. I had forgotten how long that takes. Totally ate into my day and then I didn't get my online page done til 8pm. yikes! I was hoping to leave them at a printer and get another day, but it is pouring the WHOLE day, totally coming down, and the nearest photocopy center that will do that for me is about 6 LONG blocks away DOWN the hill (urk, walking up in the rain)... so I'll drop them off tomorrow after the watercolor.
Add that to wrapping up the ordered books from paypal and mailing them.
Well, busy busy keeps the devil away or some such nonsense (if you are busy with evil things, I don't see what is the point)...
