Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.

OWL makes Wenchie Cry boo hoo

OK, dang, Onewetleg made me cry with her entry. Dang.

I am not so good with people saying nice things to me, it makes me weep it does. She said she is proud to be my friend. Well I am proud to be her friend too.

I think it is so funny, how people see others and compare themselves. She says that I make her feel like a slug, whereas she seems to me so at home in herself, so happy to live her life and not stress about doing a gazillion things, that I seem scattered and frenzied in comparison.

I wish I could be like that... be happy with myself and spend more time just being, relaxing, not beating myself up for not getting enough done, not trying to be enough, or better.

And cripey, that woman has lived, let me tell ya. All sorts of happenings and adventures and shit. Does she complain and rake her past over the coals to look for the tiny clues of how she could do it differently and try to analyse every final detail? Nope, just me combing through things with a finetooth comb. I wish I could be so matter of fact and nonregretful. It is refreshing let me tell ya. A role model yup. Own the shit, accept that you did crazy stuff just cuz that is where you were at.

Anyways, we had an argument over having an argument except that we couldn't argue. haha. I said "we HAVE to have a FIGHT at least one while you are here, we are gettin along too well too long" and she was like "no fight" me, "yes, fight" she "no argue" me "yes argue" and then we both laughed. that was our non-argument argument at the airport haha.

So, like I suspected, onewetleg is a fantastic low maintenance houseguest. Doesn't put things away in the wrong place, does the dishes, doesn't complain about cat and dog hair on her socks or the fact that I didn't get the bathroom washed or the floor vacuumed (I meant to do it before she arrived). And she is a great cook... mmm. The frittatta with portobello mushrooms and the lentil soup were wonderful. She says when she comes back she wants to cook at home more... SHE wants to cook hehe. Sounds good to me. This time round we had to do the Poutine Experience and stuff like that... I HAD to drag her to my fave and regular places.

I can't tell you how nice it is to hang with someone again who is in synch with my sleep hours as well... who doesn't get up at 9am and go to bed before midnight. IT helped of course that she just stayed on her San Fran sleep hours. We are always on Diaryland at the same time so I figured it would work out. Also that she can amuse herself with books and puter for hours on end, AND is gungho about being dragged all over hell's small acre from Ikea to the snow piles in the park. Yay for someone who can say "hated winter clothes" with a chuckle instead of a grumble. Yay! She even went outside for every cigarette. Wow.

Anyways, yeah, a good friend and pal to hang with.

Thanks for visiting, OWL! It was a blast to have you here and I miss ya. I'll see ya in April! (I will be back in San Fran for another comics convention).

hugs.
sniff sniff.

Y'all gotta rent that move, "Haiku Tunnel: an office comedy"... it is funny, and inspiring for those of us who kind of sluff off at times eh. And I REMEMBERED which movie soundtrack we were sposed to rent the video of: "8 Mile" yeah. another time. tah!
