Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.

ZZZZZ is the Sound of the Wench

zzzzz...

My gosh it is exhausting travelling all over the place!

I'd love to write a complete expos on my whole Ottawa trip, but I am exhausted. I am going to hit the sack.

The drive there and back were great, and we had a full car, so it was affordable. yay! It is funny for once to travel with a group of people, who independently decided they wanted to attend the same event as me. Wow.

The Patrick Califia book signing, reading and workshop were all fantastic. He has a wonderfully soothing voice (hehe, boy I bet THAT is a bummer when he is being a sadist during a scene!), and a friendly unassuming presence. He is very good at making people feel heard and giving personally focussed attention. I suppose that is not surprising for someone trained as a professional psychotherapist as well as a writer of genderfuck smut and radical sex nonfiction!

The water at the beach was nice, the kayak was pleasantly tiring (gosh I am out of shape!! shame shame, girl!!), the sun was warm but not baking. The food was good, the boy-watching on the bar terrace amusing, the coffee week and bad.

All in all a great weekend. But so draining.

Now I have two days before I start all over again, doing the family reunion thing... travelling during my sleep hours, and then visiting during my sleep hours. aaack.

zzzz. And to think of Musicfest... so much to do, so many people. Did you know that Animal, Lynnee Breedlove, Susan Powter and others are going to do "Hothead Paisan, The Musical" onstage? I cannot believe it. That will rank up there with Evil Dead the musical. Here's another link about the Hothead musical. youpeeee!! And painting women under the big tree with my bodypainter friend. That is so cool. Very one on one, and intimate, yet not scarily so...!

Well, that's it for now. zzzzz

later,

me, da wenchola.
