Reading today:WRONG entries in agenda book

Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.

Left-Liberal / Peaches: NOT!!!

Mmm.... Two hours before we leave to see Peaches! yay! Til then, forward and onward with Bear, which is going very well.... it is quite nonstressful to color in drawings of the same scene, once the color scheme is worked out. There will be time enough for creative stress when i get around to the non-livingroom scenes (Arctic, Venise, Spain...)

They are having the California election today... a married couple, one a liberal and one a libertarian, were interviewed. They were very funny... saying how difficult it could be around the dinner table! (the man voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger cuz he thinks that Gray Davis mismanaged state funds... the woman disagrees with that economic assessment)...

Seeing as she threw out a nasty "hard to eat with a "libertarian" at the table"... i though i'd look that up... here is a quiz that will help define your political leanings...World's Smallest Political Quiz|

from the Libertarian Party's website.

Mine is:

Your Political Philosophy:

According to your answers, your political philosophy is left-liberal.

Left-Liberal

Left-Liberals prefer self-government in personal matters and central decision-making on economics. They want government to serve the disadvantaged in the name of fairness. Leftists tolerate social diversity, but work for economic equality.

Do the quiz and on the results page are simple definitions of political leanings. Velly simple and interesting. Anyways, i am NOT surprised by my "Left-Liberal" label.

Back to work.

5:20 am

No wonder i wake up spontaneously at 1:45 pm!! eek! Today i will try for 12:30, eh! .... Hmmm, i fucked up. Looked in my agenda book: "Peaches, Tues 7th", looked on the tickets for the time: "doors open at 8pm, show at 9pm", looked at the tickets for the venue: "Club Soda, st-laurent St.". And we got all gussied up (well, i brushed my teeth and changed my top, and Dad shaved), got down there,... marquee said "PEACHES", and i reached for the door... and it was locked. Hey! Marquee says "Wed, Oct 8"... look at tickets: 9pm: WED OCT 8. Shit and poop and goddamn.

So there will be a report on Peaches live in Concert tomorrow nite. I guess it is better to be wrong a day early instead of a day late!

So, went by M's place and showed Dad the production facilities for latex clothes. Funny. And then me, Dad and M went to Mado's for a pitcher of sangria. They got on like a wildfire, as i knew they would... both being rather perverse friendly individuals into building things, gadgets, nature, renovation and all. Kinda fun.

Since then i have been looking up poisonous and dangerous animals for my next US contract (which unfortunately is worth less everyday... the Cdn $$ has gone up to over 75cents US for the first time in 7 years, goddamn and fuckinshit.... my contracts are worth $600 less each than they were in March. gllll)

Anyhowz, lucrative or not, here is the gorgeous (and deadly) blue-ringed octopus... and another site too.

And then we have the human bot fly... yum yum... scroll down about halfway to see human botfly larva, in and out of the body... mmm, parasites!

Other than the bad news about the currency, the parasitology, and the botched Peaches, some Canadian court has played around with the pot laws here... making it easier for medicinal pot growers, but TOTALLY reinstating the penalities for even minimal amounts of pot on the average person... totally insane. Stupid asses. You can run around blasted into oblivion on Nighttime Contact C or Sudafed (do not drive heavy machinery), but a toke will land you in prison or somesuch. Deep sigh.

And just to roll it all up, the last i heard on the radio, the ol Terminator was sweeping the voting booths in California today. Don't they have ANY criteria for politics? Heck, you need prerequisites to get into Drawing 101 in university, but none to run a bloody state of the USof Hey! bejeesus.

Lastly, since it is nearly 6am again, I shall not go into self-reflection, but only state how nice it is to have another human being in the house. Shuffling around. Making tea. Using the phone. Dad even made supper tonight AND washed the dishes! ... Steak (that dratted Atkins diet...protein protein), salad from the garden (my english cukes are to die for), and fried onions. Mmmm.

So with thoughts of onions past and peaches still to come, i shall sign off for the night...zzzzz

Love, me, wenchie.

Here is my horoscope for Tuesday, October 7:

Others have their reasons for being hidden and indirect, but Leo has no patience for them. Deep cultural and psychological forces are at work here. Research would help broaden your understanding.
