Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.

Ah, here I am at the puter, well ok, next to the puter... I am working on putting together my taxes for my accountant. yay. It is going well. There are interesting things on the radio... and every once in awhile I google something.

So here are some interesting links for you:

Biomimicry... the science of studying nature's models to learn how to make the best whatever.

True Gliss Jacket... yes that is what I bought on Friday at a closeout sale at a sports store. New winter jacket... how Canadian can one get? Red and white (the white thankfully is all on top where it should stay sort of clean), with little embroidered snowflakes on the right arm. hah! The cool thing is that the liner zips out and becomes a reversable jacket... and the shell I can wear riding my bike til it gets really warm... it is waterproof and breathable, with large totally open underarm zip vents. yay!! It was regular $349 Cdn, but 40% off. yay yay yay! The sleeves are a bit long, but I'll learn to live with it. So yeah, 4 jackets in one. Now if I could just find the much vaunted liners in their interchange system. I'd like to zip in a fleece. And it takes a "long core" liner and I can only find "short core" ones. ack.

Here is some "train your kids to ride a bike" gadget that looks rather cool, called an E-ZBar. It is only like $25, so I guess it is worth it.

I found it googling Bike Trainers (I found bike trainers trying to google liners for my jacket... you know... sportswear). Anyways, bike trainers are cool, and I think I'd like one. I would allow myself to watch tv if I rode my bike the whole time.

And who knew? With a bike trainer indoors you are not cooled off by the wind as you pedal, and I guess your sweat doesn't flow behind you, so they make this little apron thingie to keep your sweat from corroding your bike. hah!

This magazine rack is more up my alley (I really hope not to sweat that much)... it hooks onto your bike handlebars. I wonder if it is verboten to use it while riding on the streets? heh! I think it is a good thing cuz in the gym I always read a magazine (Harper's) while doing the step machine. It is the only way I can get myself through such boring stationary exercise.

Finally, if you have nothing else to do today, you can peruse this cool site, called Rainy Day Magazine. It has all sorts of cool gear reviews... they review it, then go out in the field and try it out and do a writeup. Very cool.

More links to check out later.
