Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.

Just a Day in April

WEll, this is a quick entry not to do with computers or webhosts (my other entry tonight) or webpresences! Incredible!!

It was a really incredibly nice day today. I walked in the sun. And I am excited to be getting plants into the ground soon. I bought another Sunbeam King Size Heating Pad to put under my seed flats to sprout my tomatoes. Mmmm.

I read the newspaper. I had my coffee.

I called some comics stores. Contact people have changed in the past 5 years. Imagine that. Several stores seem to have gone out of business. Some that dealt with me directly in the past want to only use distributors now. That is a drag. Once everyone takes 20-40% of the cover price, there isn't much left. Ergo, the creator picks up peanuts. We'll see how it goes.

I am quite happy that I have been invited to sell my comics at a fan's show tonight... she sings at bars, performance nights etc. So that is cool. And then tomorrow night (saturday) I am invited to do the same at a performance/ dance night. yeah. I don't know if I'll sell any at all, but I can at least make my presence known, and give out flyers for people to buy the books later.

I did weights before going to flamenco. Did you know that when you dance Carmen with a fan after doing shoulder presses, your hand shakes uncontrollably when you hold the fan over your head? I didn't know that either! :)

Our flamenco teacher was completely goal-oriented for once. I feel like we learned more in tonight's lesson than we have in weeks. It feels great to be on track. And one of the girls who I gave my comic book to on credit paid for it tonight and asked if she can get more... she's been showing it around to people at her school since she liked it so much! Yay! Word of mouth from fans is THE BEST advertising. yup.

Once home tonight, I've been stuck on the internet ever since. I DID get some pages uploaded to a comics server, who gave me free webhosting for an automatically updating comic, back in December. But I didn't know how to put my stuff online. Now I've uploaded a week's worth of pages using a free trial download of Fetch. It is only $25 to buy after the 15day trial is over, and I am thrilled with how easy it is to use (looks totally like normal Mac OS format for files, windows etc... yay!)

One thing that is not going so well.. but I hope to have under control... is the BUGS seem to be back! GRRR! I found scale insects again on a plant in the front room. Jeepers. So I sprayed them all down again before bed last night, and am back to scrubbing a few leaves individually. Wish me luck.

To end with, here are a couple pics of a cat that saw my dog. Weirdly enough it raised its hackles and then PROWLED towards my poor puppy!! Thank god it was tied up to a harness, and there was a fence between the two! My Saint-Bernard is NO MATCH for a vicious feline! (and she knows it!)

Well, I had been good, and got up by 1:15 pm the past two days. But now somehow it has gotten to be 7:05 am, it is light outside and the music for "Daybreak" on CBC Radio One is playing right now. Glll. hehe. And I don't even feel tired.

nite nite to me anyways!

Happy eastra or whatever you do!

Here is my horoscope for Thursday, April 8:

If you've left the apartment at all over the past couple of days, it's a miracle -- especially if you've got someone to play hooky with. Spend one more evening in hibernation -- then make up for it tomorrow night!

Ps. I am starting to think it is possible for me to adopt a kid. I can sort of almost imagine it. Being a mom. Not giving birth to a new baby, but welcoming a kid into my home. It's a start. Tah! sweet dreams!
