Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. A Few Winks after Washing the Dog

I'm gonna have a wee nap. But first I just thought I'd say how lovely it is that I didnt start rushing on an insanely tight deadline today. yay!

The US client DID write me back on Friday asking that I do at least one book out of the two, and I replied I would do the second one, since it is not right away and the deadlines are more reasonable (besides it is the one I had already started researching in January before they put a stopwork on it).. but I'd only do it IF they could keep the deadline as it is, IF they could actually be available to work on it vs not returning emails and calls cuz they're overloaded, IF they would pay 30 days after receipt not 60 or 90 days. If not, to look for another illustrator.

I guess they didnt like that letter, cuz they havent written back one way or another. heh.

Anyhowz, actually not being insanely rushed is amazing! I did three loads of my laundry, washed the dog, then a load of the wet towels from her, got the house vacuumed after spilling all those Christmas tree needles all over the place when I finally ousted it. I got several horizontal surfaces cleaned off. I even lounged in the bath for an hour last night, hoping the hot water would keep me from being stiff from flamenco and weight lifting last night.

Wow. Anyhowz, me clean, doggy clean is a good thing!

I am predicting a setback in spring weather, since my doggy hasnt started shedding her winter coat in the slightest bit. This seems late for her. I wanted to wash her now cuz 1) she was so dusty and full of salt and car exhaust from all winter that it was horrid to touch her (well lovely to touch her, horrid how black your hands were afterwards) 2) if she's not shedding yet, the hair stays on her instead of clogging up the drain during the bath and 2) if I wash her BEFORE shedding, then when she sheds the hair I keep to make into a sweater will already be lovely and clean! yay!

Well, that is enough of a "yay, I have time" entry for now. A few winks and I'll be back online later.

tah!
