Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.

People Working Hard to make it a Better World

A few of the Aid agencies whose donations requests I sorted through on the night of the 30th:

Hehe that last one is the one I signed my dad up for, to adopt a marmot. I hope he is happy with his marmot. They're darn cute!

(10:55pm) Well, that's the end of the list of envelopes accumulated on my floor. I am sorry to say that I did not manage to donate to all of them, though I did manage most of them. Whew! Well, do your thing people!

These are all worthwhile causes. You can click on them to learn more about them and what they do, or to donate. Please remember the people in your neighborhood who may be suffering quietly from a chronic disease, or the environment, while you also are concerned with the ongoing tragedy in Southeast Asia. The numbers behind each entry are how many envelopes I have from that place in my pile here.

OK, now they are all going into the recycling (the checks went out yesterday, talk about last minute!!)

Well, writing this and googling all those has been a joy, but I must get back to work now. No rest for the wicked! I'm tracing and transfering the dog gang book to watercolor paper. The finals are due on Friday and it is a fairly heft book. Back to work! Tah!

I hope all of you had a wonderful New Year's Eve and are enjoying a day off. Unless like me you are wicked!

Hugs! me
Wenchie
