Priests are AFRAID of Namecalling!!
AAAACK!!! The world is backwards!!!
Apparently they are trying to get the senate in Canada to not pass the equal marriage bill that passed a few weeks ago in Parliament.
Today apparently someone (I'll look it up I will) said that gay marriage threatens religious freedom in Canada. He said that Catholic priests are, get this, afraid to preach what the bible says for fear of being called homophobes.
WHAAHHAAAHHAAAA HHHAAAA... this is a religion that isn't afraid of being called whatever under the sun for being against birth control, for being against abortion. For being against divorce. For being against women priests.
But they are "afraid to preach for fear of being called homophobes". poor poor babies.
Gay people can be called abominations. They can be called perverts. They can be told they are sinful and are going to burn in hell for eternity. But of course THEY aren't supposed to be afraid. THEY aren't supposed to feel put upon to be called those things, to be damned for eternity.
But priests who have studied for years, in a religion where missionaries go to countries where they are killed and stoned and whatever for upsetting the indigenous religions, are AFRAID TO BE CALLED HOMOPHOBES.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Apparently gay parents are coming in and sitting through sermons. Expecting priests to baptise their children. um, yeah. Let's see, if you are a murderer you can get your children baptised. Is sin suddenly passed down to your kids if you are a homosexual, and not an adulteror, a divorcee, someone who practices birth control? If you have had an abortion, do the priests scream "freedom of religion" if you DO have a kid after that and ask it to be baptised? What if you practiced birth control BEFORE and AFTER the pregnancy and birth of your child. By something dastardly like the IUD, which promotes abortions, much like the morning after pill, by blocking implantation of an already fertilised egg, causing it to die homeless and rejected.
MWAHHHAHHHAHH!!
Perhaps they are afraid cuz they might be wrong, if god is letting these horrid married gays raising children to believe in the forgiveness of christ, without smiting them or the children. MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
Perhaps we should ban all mentions of women as equal citizens, and strike anti-discrimination from the constitution since it is against the religion of the Catholics to give women equality in their heirarchy, and thus equality under the law in Canada is against their religion. Aren't they afraid of being called misogynists??
Give me an effin break.
The Klu Klux Klan are mighty religious folk. Should we stop interracial marriage, and equality for other races since members of the Klu Klux Klan are afraid of being called racist? And they might be expected to baptise little black children?
Oh that's right. The bible has all sorts of stuff about respecting your master if you are a slave, even if you have a bad master, cuz he's in charge of you like Jesus is in charge of the church, so the bible is ok with blackies being baptised... cuz maybe they'll be good slaves then. But um, what about being expected to BAPTISE children of MIXED couples... that is patently against God's plan. hell what blasphemy.
The poor poor people.
Next thing you'll hear is that laws against mutilating children's genitals should be banned since it is against someone's religion, and they don't like being called child abusers when preaching female genital mutilation. Cripes.

Religious freedom doesn't mean you get to squish everyone else, cuz letting them free squishes your squishing. sheesh.
