WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me. God is Not Great Hey there. Well, I guess me too, eh? I think I'll start writing in here so that I can keep a record of some things. Some life things and some "OOO COOL! I saw it on the internet!" things. Tonight, I caught the end of an interview on the radio with this guy "Christopher Hitchens", who was talking about his book "God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything". Now I cannot argue with most of what he says, and he is delightfully quick of wit and tongue. So I looked up his book on Amazon, and I will add it to my wishlist. Finances are woefully tight these days, as is time, so it will stay there for now. I must say that Amazon wishlists are a really great way to "bookmark" books, games, all sorts of things from bikes to electronics, for future reference. Even if one wants to buy it elsewhere, you don't have to remember what was your final choice of brands compared: just click "save on wishlist" on amazon, and when you need to know, months later, consult your wishlist. One click through and all the description and reviews will jolt your memory if needs be. Anyways, I'll let you read about the book for yourself, since I haven't read it yet. But it seems sensible and brings up a lot of what are for me, obvious points about religion, when you look at them as a cross section, vs one at a time. I'll have to pass it on to my mom. 2 People have left cute, callous or caring comments on the wench's wordiness!! Go to "notes" instead of comments ps, you'll need to email me for a username and password
