You know what? I am very confused as to why if gains made by gay people in society are provoked by gay activists, that is a bad thing?
What is strange about fully functioning adults who have sex with eachother, who are responsible stable members of society fighting for full inclusion in society and respect?
Would gains in treatment and respect of Jewish people be suspect if the people fighting for Jewish rights are Jewish?
Would gains in the acceptance of Protestant Christianity in a Roman Catholic society BY Protestant Christians be suspect? Would they be called "Protestant Activists" and thus dismissed, since they are biased and obviously don't know what heretical sinners they themselves are?
Should we be surprised that disabled people lobby for better services, equal treatment under the law and programs in elementary schools that exposes children to the reality and humanity of disabled people? Should we deride them as disabled activists attempting to force their abnormal condition on small children, and insist that everyone continue to see them as gimpy crimples, probably as weird, unacceptable and depraved in mind and soul as their epileptic bodies and twisted limbs?
I really do NOT understand how being a lesbian and wanting to dispell homophobia is a weird, or sneerworthy enterprise. If one does not stand up for oneself, who will??
I don't get why women who want equal rights are destroying the family, whereas Christian Missionaries who want to bring the Bible to little Muslim Tsunami victims are not destroying a culture.
I just don't get it. If you want the world to be better, the dismissive swearword is Liberal. If you want the world to be fairer, the dismissive swearword is Feminist. If you want the world to be kinder, the dismissive swearword is Gay Activist.
But conservative Christians who impose their view of the world on people are harbringers of freedom, saving souls, spreading the good word. Bush CARES about the Iraqis. His Saudi friends are MAKING PROGRESS in the areas of women voting and driving cars. The Christian man who goes off to war (to save the Iraqis I guess, rather than his kids) and gets killed SACRIFICED for his now fatherless children, whereas single mom's are the blight of the world.
None of it makes sense to me. I may as well have lived in any time in history any place in the world... humans seem to be just idealogically insane.

btw, childless people ARE taxed... they have no deductions for dependents, they pay for benefits at work they never use (maternity leave, sick leave for children, dental and healthcare for dependents). "Refusing to accept any responsibility for continuing human existence". That is so laughable. Let's see. If a gay doctor treats your children so they don't die, isn't he helping? If a gay teacher is instructing your children so they succeed in the workplace and can afford to reproduce, aren't they helping? If gays and lesbians want to parent children they are vilified, so why would they be taxed if they DON'T reproduce? When China has to put laws to stop its out of control population control in response to boggling famines and disease from overpopulation, isn't NOT reproducing actually "accepting responsibility for continuing human existance"?? I don't think "human existance" is in any risk of being discontinued... except by fighting over decreasing resources such as food, water, land and oil. Not to mention the people over 30 who have spent time, money and tears to TRY to get pregnant desperately. I guess they should be taxed as well, on what little income they have left after their invitro failed. Maybe people should stop breeding and adopt instead of writing scathing indictments of people who are childless. Dang.
