Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.

The inbox as Time Thief

12:33am... on Monday night... how is that possible?? ack!... if you already read this, go down to the pictures!

6:09pm Why does it take so long to get down to work?

Maybe because my inbox in life is always so full... I have now 89 unread emails since I went to bed (AND I've already opened and answered the most pressing... there were over 90).

I have snailmail... yay!... a letter from a little girl I wrote and asked to be my penpal... just yesterday I was wondering if I should call her mom and see if no mail meant "no" or if it meant she is just slow writing back. But the little girl said yes, and sent some photos! :) I want to be her penpal cuz she and I had a great time playing and talking when I met her three years ago, and she is a very bright little girl living with her grandma (her mom is away at school full time) who is stuck up in Sudbury! eeek!

And... snailmail... the book I ordered from an Abebooks.com retailer on the recommendation of Elizabeth Stewart: "The Bear Party" by William Pene du Bois.

And...snailmail... a huge stack (like three inches high) of photos from my dad when he was here visiting.

And other assorted envelopes.

AND THEN... I have to deal with stuff from yesterday and beyond: print out and fill out the info for Jennifer Camper publishing my comic (everything from what medium I used to a short bio)

...call the passport office to see if I need to change my application: I had filled out all the forms, photos, id etc in June, but not sent it in, and they have changed some rules.

...call two publishers to discuss the contracts they sent me which I read over the weekend.

...call another publisher to discuss the character sketches I sent last night

...fill in the form for credit and id cards for the plan that cancels then replaces them in case of loss or theft.

I am sure there is more... but it is in a pile beside my computer. agh.

(This stuff is just the "deal with phone calls, emails and snailmail at start of the day" and does not include things like chopping up and cooking pumpkins before they go bad!)

Oh yes, and look at diaryland notes (please DO leave notes, thanks!), read my diaryland buddies updates, etc.

Well, going to read my emails now. I will write a real entry with many photos and such later. Come back y'all.

Hugs to me. Damn I look great in this long blond curly wig. Now if it were only real!!!

Wow, I am going to invite MORE cartoonists over for coffee and hookah so I can blab and play show and tell!! Look at the extraordinarily cool thank-you drawing I got of our evening on Sat from Suzanne Marsden! Yay! That is me, my doggies, both of the kitties, me, Sue and all our hookah smoke!! She even sent me a photo she took with her digital camera! see see see!! :

Yay, so very cool! Both of those are copyright 2003 Sue Marsden, eh! Now I shall eat supper and maybe post some pics my Dad sent later... ciao!

Hey, here is my sad boot sole. I am very happy to say now, that instead of being bummed, I am yes, "very happy" as I just said. My boots will have new, yes brandspankinnew soles as of Thursday! I am thrilled cuz I didnt know if they could be fixed, and anyhowz their soles were always the worst part of them... the plastic is too hard and thus they are kinda hard on my feet if I walk far, and they are slippy slidey esp on hard pavement. So now they will be like new and not dead AND kinder to my feetses! yay, happy happy feetses are going to be dainty in boots again!!
