Kink in Toronto Cuts Through Apathy
OK, so I thought that TO Kink was next weekend, and I was getting motivated to actually go last second since some people have mentioned possible workshop topics. I really was feeling just broke, and feeling like I don't want to run around, and esp not run around for bdsm related stuff... since I'm such a player these days...
But omigod again... I am so there, I tell ya. I paid for one of the first tickets (but didn't win the free hotel stay) last year, so it only cost me $75... it is now $100 for a ticket. No tickets at the door... tickets available til Sept 5.
And it turns out it is Sept 10-12... so I don't even have to rush... I can just nicely arrange to go there. I already have a hotel room to share (or rather someone i know has offered to share with me, or go it solo if I don't want...)
AND I just looked at the workshop listings... I am SO THERE!! yup. ooo, Cutting 101... bring our scalpels! We can practice on fruit and maybe each other. Oh I am sooo excited! And then there are things like "creative cruelty", "mild-mannered sadism", "gender play", and role playing. I love the mild-mannered sadism description... no I don't feel like being an arrogant top. urk. But a sadistic one, youbetcha. hehe.
There is also a Thud punching workshop, and I may be the demo person for that. hehe. I may not be getting enough exercise but I can still take a thud. hehe. (and now that I have hoed and weeded the garden for upperbody, and cycled my dog around town for my legs, I think I got enough exercise for today anyways).
I should also see if I can volunteer to work the door for a playparty or somesuch... they need volunteers.
Oh, look at me... I am so not being blasé and bored about this, now that I have gotten my grubby little mind on the workshps. hehehe... ooo the costume possibilities! Maybe I'll even have sex! who knows! the possibilities, the possibilities! We have gotten a yahoogroups list for attendees just started up.. that's how I got interested again... otherwise Sept 10-12 wouldve just come and gone like the musicfest.
Hell, I can cycle to the bus station, take a cheap bus, buy NO NEW GEAR OR TOYS!! at the vendor area, share the hotel room, take tuna sandwiches, or I guess cheese is better for my breath!, yeah, it'll be an exciting fun cheapie event. yay! My ticket includes THREE playparties! yowza! :)
OK, gonna go do my page of comics now. Fresh air makes me zonked though...zzzzzz :D
