Listening To: Accolades of Reagan. What is WRONG with people? WHO has alzheimers? I think it is us.

Drinking Tonight: Mexican Fair Trade filtered coffee

Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.

Colours On a Roll at Seven HayHem

It is ten and a half away from seven, says the radio announcer. If I hear Brian Mulrooney say one more time how Reagan is an icon and his presidency saw the end of the cold war (the announcer said that is like saying the rooster is the cause of the sun rising hehe) one more time I may upchuck.

I gotta get to bed, but I am on a roll. The Far North drawings are being colored in and it is going really well... there is only one drawing I will be procrastinating on drawing (hey, I can foresee procrastination...) because I am not sure how to do lighting of neons in watercolor... so that is great, since everything else is pretty much straightforward. zoom zoom

I like it when I feel like this... when the coloring is so engaging that I don't want to put it down, and am happy to get back to it the next day. Times like this it is not unusual to dream of coloring in with the brush...

It rained and so it was THE perfect garage sale weekend... dry dry dry, and sunny with not too hot, with rain after everything is inside. yay.

BTW I think my tomatoes are doing fine. They don't seem to be turning brown or yellow or wilty or anything now they are in the ground. Next year I will know to transplant them into larger bedding trays as seedlings, and fertilize them properly. I think it was a lack of nutrients.

And my bearded iris bloomed. I took photos. It is white which is a surprise. I thought it would be purple, or purple and yellow, or maroon. But it is white and looks like papery lace. gorgeous. You will see when the film is developed, which may be a bit since it is a new film.

You can read about how the garage sale went here in my previous entry tonight.

Cheers. Now I need a grilled cheese and to get to sleep. I have four pages of comics to draw tomorrow before getting back into the Far North colors again.
