Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.

Bits and Pieces and Droppings-Ins

Has anyone ever heard this song? They are talking about fish on the radio and played a wee little clip in a squeaky sort of voice. It was funny.

This is indubitably the cheapest sneakiest sandwish ever. Really. Cheap. Sneaky.

Sleepyzoe should be strung up for linking to this site: Craftster.org. How am I supposed to get ANY work done, between surfing through the projects and wanting to try them out?? jeesh!! How irresponsible of her!

I did learn a new word. Steeks. This is apparently sewing along a line in a knitted item, and then you can cut the item, in order to knit on a band, a collar, sew in sleeves etc. Who knew!!

Thank god I don't have the plug-in to see her myplace.com entries. yikes.

Today was drop-by day. I was inking comics at the coffeeshop (at 32C out! yikes again!) when Disappearing Boy showed up, and he came home and had a beer with me in the backyard while I worked on my South Korea contract.

Then when I was walking back from the doggypark with doggies, Hotsauce showed up! So we had an ice tea while i worked on my South Korea contract.

And then a few minutes after 1am, a knock on the door, and it was Motorcycle Boy dropping by. Ok, he wanted to say hi AND borrow my massage table for a couple days for a movie set. He will try to get me moulah for "renting" it. Yay!

It was nice to have three suprise visitors all on the same day! Chats and hugs and all! yay yay yay!

OK, back to work!

Just had to add this... Stephen Harper, head of the Conservative Party of Canada says that Canadians will consider the vote for Gay Marriage illegitimate since it will be passed with the support of the Bloc Quebecois party. Jeesh. Hello!!! Just a month ago, Stephen Harper was counting on the support of the Bloc Quebecois to help oust the Liberal minority government... repeatedly stressing that the Liberals were trying to screw Quebec with the sponsorship scandal. I guess if the govt had toppled due to his machinations with the Bloc then, we all could have just ignored it, and not had an election, since it would be an "illegitimate" non-confidence vote? Totally insane. The guy has said that the minority govt were willing to make deals with "separatists, socialists and any old smalltime crook" when the budget went through last week, forgetting that those separatists and socialists are elected Members of Parliament mandated by voting Canadian citizens. And now he seems to think that all of us who live in Quebec (not to mention all the federalists who are pro-equal rights) are to be dismissed, since our Members of Parliament aren't "legitimate" in their votes. Why the hell are they in Parliament then? Maybe we should just kick out everyone we voted into Parliament that the Conservatives don't like in order that the ones who are left are seen as "legitimate" when they vote?? Cripey. Right now he has insulted, dismissed and alienated everyone in the Liberal party, the NDP socialist party and the Bloc Quebecois party. No wonder my father likes him so much. If people stand with you, they are important, and if they don't stand with you, dismiss them as stupid ignorant crooks. Sigh.

BTW, Bloc Quebecois is totally pro-human rights despite being pro-separatist, and they are the ones in power in my riding... They have been pro gay-rights from the very start, and pro other social policies, which is one reason I feel totally free to vote NDP for federal elections... I know that by doing so, I am not allowing some right wing wingnut to get in in my area.

Well, it was about time Canadian politics was interesting enough to blog about it, instead of Bush, eh!! LOL! tah!
