Cost of the War in Iraq
WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me.
The The Night Offffffffff.......
Well, I was all excited tonight... actually, I was a happy bunny all excited last night. WHY?
Cuz I was getting my work done on the South Korea contract home stretch about a gazillion times faster than I thought. I thought I would be rushing on Monday to finish it up, and instead on Friday night i could see the end of it.
So I have worked tonight til now (9:30pm), and just have a couple hours for tomorrow. And I can go out to the Bent Girls Halloween Night Out Cabaret. I was wanting to go for months. Though I never came up with an outfit. I figure I have enough pickings for dressup here in the house to just wing it. We're supposed to be like vampire whatevers. And you can be a vampire whatever ANYTHING. So yeah...
Come tonight... I am FREEEEEE. And dead tired. And zero interest to dress up... it wouldn't be the first time I was tired and was still motivated to dress up. This time zilch. And I have zero interest in going out. I mean, I could forgo the dressing up and just go out. hah. no go. Zilch interest and energy to go out.
So I thought oh I'll rent a movie and veg out.
AHHH brilliant idea... I called ArtsyGuy (ok, I'll say more about ArtsyGuy later... he lives close, was in a different area of fine arts about the same time as me at art school, has a great kid, and he's single for once... I've dropped by a couple times this week. Yes he is cute. And like me a handyman artsyfartsy type with minimal budget)... to see if he wanted to watch a movie ... eek, almost a DATE! But his son answered... Dad is sleeping. Dang. I really have to stop going for these early night guys. Disappearing Boy is an early-dozer too. Oh well.
Tried calling Disappearing Boy but he's not home. Bet he's got a date. Grrr.
Oh well, I guess I'd have something to do if I just got my ass in gear. But I think I want my head on the pillow instead.
I think I will walk doggies, get a video, have a long hot bath with Harper's Magazine, make some popcorn and fall asleep to the movie in bed.
Somehow that would sound SOOO much better with a cuddle.
Shoulda got ArtsyGuy's kid to write him a note next to him to call me if he wakes up. oh well too late now.
Wish me a good night!
Oh, btw, here is a great place to indulge your desire to listen to The The... I just clicked one song after another on their online jukebox last night: they have all their songs, album by album, there. yay!!! The The Time!
