Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Bad Cops Plumbers and Wigs

Ahhh, the morning is long when one is up early.

Had to be up before 7:30 because there are plumbers here now. They got here at 7:54... so that is pretty on time for "between 8 and 8:15 am". I should hopefully have a bathroom sink when they leave. And they are changing the water valve to the third floor, the water valve outside for the lawn, and hopefully hooking the sump pump into the sewer system instead of having it going outside into the back lawn under the porch. Why oh why would someone put the sump pump outlet into the back yard, esp when it thaws about a month or two after the front yard. ack.

But even better, why was the sewer outlet under the sink in the bathroom.... not hooked up to anything? The guy went down into the basement to look at it: the pipe was old lead piping which is narrower than the pipe they use now. And he discovered that it um. went nowhere. Yup. For the past seven years my bathroom sink has been dumping water.... into my basement. hahaha!! I guess that explains why the dehumidifier can work all the time.

It also explains why the back of the house has sunk less than the front of the house. The clay it is sitting on is unlikely to dry and shrink with the sink water running directly into the ground.

Maybe I shouldn't fix it?? ahhhh.

I went out to this cabaret/dance thing on Saturday, but met up with a friend beforehand for dinner. Hadn't seen her since Hotsauce's birthday in June, so it was nice to chat. And it turned out she considered it my "birthday dinner" even though my birthday was in August. So i got a prezzie!! yay!!

Kinda funky and cute huh? It is light and flippy, and fun for dancing. Makes me look about twelve though. hah! Egads to think the next round figure will be "50". yikes.

OK, I am up early, but I am dead tired. I haven't managed to get to bed before 1:30 am for the past four or five days, and still getting up around 8am. Last night I went to a movie "Bon Cop Bad Cop" that was very funny. It is a bilingual french/english movie made here in Quebec... a hunt down the murderer movie. It is really funny. Did I say it is funny? Laugh out loud funny. Probably more so if you are a bilingual person living in Quebec. But it is a pretty good movie anyways. Just didn't make me like hockey fanatics any more than I do now. hah!

But going to the movie didn't make my day any earlier, since for some reason I got it into my mind to finish a drawing for a client before I went to bed, after I got home from the movie.

But I think now I am going to have a nap. zzzzz
Then I will be here, but sleeping, available in case the plumbers "need" me.
