WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me. Trial by Fire How in heaven did it end up being 1:52 am? I have no idea... days are zooming by these days. I have to get to sleep... in about 7 hours I am picking up the nextdoor neighbor little girl... she's about 13 or 14 months old now, and much more active than when she just lay happily on the floor... as when I babysat her when she was about 10 months old. Her parents are going to househunt tomorrow (ack... I don't want to lose good friendly helpful neighbors with a cute child to boot!) and I am babysitting from 9am to about 5pm... Yikes! Trial by fire! I just happened to have the day semi-free and jumped at the chance to have a real live active child for a complete day ...ok, not complete since I won't do her breakfast, supper, bedtime... but still a whole day and not just a couple hours. They just asked me at about 8 pm tonight, while I was outside washing the dog, and I hadn't eaten dinner yet. So I just now finished cleaning the floor... vacuum, wipe up cat pee... WHY must cats pee all over the place? (mostly at the edges of things the male has peed on, and it ran down onto the floor. grrr), wash floor... check out for small objects, breakable things, hanging things (ahhh, that cord that was hanging from the outlet to the windowsill where the battery for the drill was recharging... so tempting). So now I feel somewhat at ease having a crawling, creeping, holding onto things and walking around stuff grabbing child here all day. I will take her round with me to the park with the dog, food shopping, laundromat to wash the dog towels etc... it should go pretty good. And her mom has promised me some of her dad's (the baby's dad, not the mom's dad) lasagna for lunch. mmmm... apparently the kiddo loves that too. They expressed concern to leave her with me all day... "she's really much more active now cluttergirl... she can be exhausting" and wanted to give her to me only the morning or the afternoon. But I figure it would be more stressful to have to be home to pick up or drop off the kiddo than just go with the flow. I think it will be fine, and it will give me a good idea of just what a day with a nearlytoddler will be like. Anyways, I am happy and excited about it. 2 People have left cute, callous or caring comments on the wench's wordiness!!
