Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Happy Massaging Fingers

Hiya! I want to say sorry to everyone on my buddy list, I am behind on reading and commenting... I've been super duper busy.

I am also 18 hours late on my comics page, but that's not so bad. That means Friday's comic went up at 6pm instead of midnight (ie that morning first thing). People can live with it.

I had a really good night tonight at the Boudoir. It was a blast, dressing up and putting together my booth with bangles and swanks. Well, crushed velvet and shiny red material, gold fringe and tassles. The really sexy lamp that ob bought for me (hehe, she's got very good taste), lots of cushions.

I dressed in my flapper dress and put a bead appliqué and tall black ostrich feather in a velvet ribbon for my head. 20's/30's makeup. yowza.

Massaging was really slow until the first break in the show both nights, people arriving, fighting over tables and chairs, getting their drinks, greeting friends and settling in. Last night I did quite a few massages, made about $35 for the fundraiser (for dyke Pride events, and Pr*ject 10, which is an organization which helps young gay people).

But tonight it was hopping. From the start of the first break, all the way through the theatre piece, through the second break, and all the way through the cabaret part, AND all the way through the dance until the end, I gave massages. Neck massages, arm massages, foot massages, hand massages.

I had people waiting, and making reservations. I can't believe I massaged for like 5 hours! eep! I am THRILLED that my thumb (which I totally screwed up, bending it backwards playing with my dog about three years ago... it was so bad I couldnt turn a key in the door..) held up the whole time and I was massaging really firmly, and using them alot. One cannot use a lot of body weight when people are set up with chairs and cushions in a bar.

And yay, lots of happy smiling faces. I love how people's faces go from ordinary regular day faces to these relaxed gaga blissed out faces. Yay. Very rewarding. Quite a few people wanted to know if I give massages in daily life and took my email. Perhaps I'll fix up the front room (hell, throw out all those bugridden plants! hehe) and massage for cash again. I wouldn't rent a place, and put ads like I did when I did it for a living years ago, but just do people who want it. $40 here and there.

Tonight I made over 95$... I kept 15$ for cabfare and the fact that one girl was incensed that she gave me xtra money cuz my massage was so great, and I was going to give it all to the fundraiser. So $10 for cabfare and $5 from her. hehe.

Now I am starting to crash. Lots to do in the next few days... gotta get to sleep. But I am so glad, even though it meant that I was drawing a cover sketch for a book at 5am last night, to have volunteered. I had a great time. It was amazing to actually touch flesh. hehe. Sensually on top of it. People were VERY happy and I felt like I did a great job. Lots of personal interaction that was very positive. yay.

So, happy me. nite nite.

thanks to everyone for the hugs and nice notes when I was sad about my tomatoes. yeah, jeesh, tomatoes. Sigh!

more later.
