WARNING!!!! if you know me personally, you may read my diary, but if you do, you take the chance of hearing things you don't want to know, misunderstanding what I've written and being hurt by it. If you are unsure if it is ok to read, save yourself and me the grief and heartache, and ask first!!! Please note that this is a DIARY, ie my subjective feelings, hearsay, suppositions, and outpourings of ranting of the moment. It does not represent objective news, the whole of what I think of a topic or someone, or even a thought-out representation of any of the above. Keep that in mind. Thanks. * Here is a Diary Etiquette Read Me. Archival Quality Diaryland?? hehe, just read on some sweet young thing's (hey she's 13) diary that she thinks diaryland is cool and great and she can't wait to look back at what's she's put down here when she's old. hehe!! Just wait til she finds out that all the technology will be outdated in three years and will be unreadable! Hell I can't even get a program to read the stuff I have from a friend on a Word floppy disk from about 7 years ago... just says "cannot find an application blah blah"... Hey, people. just think about how ephemeral all this is. Amazon merges with another company and changes their URLs so none of the entry links to them work. I take down my geocities site and all my images here that are uploaded there disappear from my entries. Browsers evolve and we can't read anyone's templates anymore. Hell I'm already having that problem. My geocities site looks fine in my ancient Netscape, but in my IE the black background is white, text fonts are all changed to helvetica default and whatnot. Haha!! Cannot wait to look at this when she's OLD!! Thankgod people used to write on clay tablets, chisel into stone, build out of granite, and write on paper. I tell ya no one's gonna be trying on my latex clothes in a hundred years, they disintegrate before that. And photos printed on my epson? They aren't water or lightfast. More than 50% of the cds I've burned with my (year old)cd burner are already somehow corrupted enough that they will only work in one cd player and not another. Long live paper and vinyl. They're fragile somewhat but at least physical. yup. Hey, does anyone know how to download onto a cd our diaryland entries?? Is it possible? Thanks. "Someday we'll look back on this moment and plow into a parked car." ps, read my other entry this afternoon. And if you already read my other entry this afternoon, click here to see my horoscope for the day and laugh!! Well, I just dug out my contract for the book mentioned in the previous entry, and yes, I should've written a registered letter requesting they reprint the book, way back when I wanted to get it then. According to the contract they lose rights to the book if they do not reprint within 6 months of receiving such a letter. And it has been over six months. If it goes well they will reprint, the book will be again available in stores and on Amazon. If it goes badly, they will let me get my rights back, and reprint the book with drawings by a different illustrator and I will get nada. Why can't people just do their job. 0 People have left cute, callous or caring comments on the wench's wordiness!! Go to "notes" instead of comments ps, you'll need to email me for a username and password previous meanderings - future past Goodbye Michael.
